Seattle grunge rockers Pearl Jam marked their 20th birthday this weekend. With nine studio albums under their belt and a handful of live cuts, we asked the Last.fm Trends team to dig out the band’s most scrobbled tracks on Last.fm.

With a catalog spanning over nineteen years it’s interesting to see which era of Pearl Jam is the most popular amongst their listeners.

It’s the band’s older material that overwhelmingly dominates their most scrobbled tracks on Last.fm, with the top four spots all going to debut album Ten, released in 1991.

The number one spot with 2,584,252 scrobbles belongs to “Black”, a song that the band originally refused to release as a single due to the personal nature of the lyrics.

This is followed closely by “Alive”, the band’s first ever single, which charts 2,542,786 scrobbles.

So far fans still don’t appear too enamored with the band’s 21st century output, with only two tracks reaching the top ten: “The Fixer” and “Just Breathe” sitting at #9 and #10 respectively.

Both feature on the band’s latest release (2009′s Backspacer) which means no tracks from their other four albums released this decade enter the top ten.

Want to see some of Pearl Jam’s newer material in the spotlight? Get scrobbling! Head to Last.fm for more information.
