SXSW 2011: Jack White Plays Impromptu Gig In Parking Lot

After announcing his latest Third Man Records endeavor, [lastfm]Jack White[/lastfm] steered his van toward Austin, Texas this week. And as reported by Spinner, today he graced his mobile record store’s launch with an intimate acoustic performance for all eager record-aholics. White played only a handful of songs, which included a [lastfm]White Stripes[/lastfm] song, “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground.”

His performance was followed by Third Man‘s newly signed bluesman, [lastfm]Seasick Steve[/lastfm], but the set was unfortunately cut off by angry parking lot attendants who lost their patience with the overflowing crowd.
