On June 5th BFD 2011 is seriously going to blow the Bay Area out of the water and into a musical explosion. Here to help all of us get down with our bad selves are Biffy Clyro and before they hit the Budlight Festival stage we’re here to hit you with all the things you should know about them!

Want to know all about B. Cly? Here’s just some of the things you’ve got to study in order to be in the know come June 5th!

  • Biffy Clyro (Cli-Roh, as we were recently informed) started running while Tupac was loving California in good ol’ 1995
  • Biffy Clyro once went by the name Screwfish
  • Biffy Clyro is from Kilmarnock, Scotland!
  • Drummer and Bassist Ben and James Johnston are twins!
  • The band have never actually disclosed exactly where the name ‘Biffy Clyro’ originated.
  • The 2007 record “Puzzle”  was rated the best album of 2007 by Kerrang! and Rock Sound.
  • Biffy Clyro have played with MUSE, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Queens of the Stonage, The Who and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (just to name a few!)
  • The most recent record “Only Revolutions” was highly influenced by the second novel by Mark Z. Danielewski with the same title.
  • “Only Revolutions” was recorded at Ocean Way Studios – that’s the same place Frank Sinatra recorded “My Way”!
  • “Only Revolutions” reached #3 in the UK chart and went gold within days of its release in 2009 and has since gone platnium!
