You know that incredibly happy feeling you get when you finally wade through the entire Starbucks line, order your drink, and get your frothy, densely caffeinated morsel? Vicki Reveron from New York found out the hard way that not everyone is peaceful after their coffee. She ordered her daily Carmel Frappucino at her local Starbucks and received more than she bargained for. After having difficulty with her order Miss Vicki says she “made light of the mistake the order taker had made so I mean no harm no foul, but unfortunately he took it another way,” and boy did he! The barista who made her drink decided he was above all common politeness and courtesy and scrawled “b-i-t-c-h” on the side of her cup.
We know what you’re thinking – “..wait what?” – That’s how we felt about the situation. Here in San Francisco that would have gone over like a lead balloon and we imagine the same for New York, so what happened? Reveron went back to the location and complained, got free coffee vouchers and changed her routine because she’s not going there again.Seems like Starbucks needs to send everyone to sensitivity class!
How would you react if that had happened in your local coffee stop? Sound off in the comments!
