Rose Kirkland, Talent Buyer, Live Nation

A native to the Bay Area, Rose Kirkland started as an intern with Live Nation / Bill Graham Presents, working in the marketing department during her final year of college at SF State University in 2005. Two weeks before she graduated from college, she was hired to be the marketing assistant. Rose quickly realized her true passion was booking and moved over to assist the booking team.  After four years of sleepless nights, countless show settlements and a serious addiction to caffeine she was promoted to a Talent Buyer.  She now books talent for Northern California and Reno focusing on Arenas, Amphitheaters, Festivals and radio events – working with bands such as System of a Down, 311, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Jill Scott, Deadmau5 and many more.  She is also responsible for local dates on Veteran touring entities such as Warped Tour and this year’s breakout touring electronic festival Identity. Patrick Brown: Engineer/Producer/Studio Owner

Over the years Patrick Brown has had the opportunity to have a positive influence on the careers of some amazing Bay Area artists and Produced/Co-Produced/Engineered the projects that have pushed them to the next level. Being raised in a family of musicians and music lovers (His dad played saxophone, his uncle was a sound/tour manager for bands like The Beach Boys, Heart, Alice Cooper, Mr. Mister & more, and his mother recently gave him her CD collection of around 3000 discs) eventually led to his choice of Sound Arts curriculum, and landed him in a position as the sole intern at Different Fur Studios. The phrase “Work Hard Play Hard” might be a cliché, but it’s his ability to do exactly that which pushed him into a House Engineer position in under a year, and into Head Engineer a couple years later.
