Green Day have given us another video update from their recording studio, as they work on the follow-up to 21st Century Breakdown.

According to NME, Billie Joe Armstrong said, “It’s a new sound and it’s f**king with my head.”  The band have previously said that their new ninth studio will be more straight forward.  Not a concept album like American Idiot or their latest full length 21st Century Breakdown.

Earlier this month, the band confirmed they will headline shows at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival and France’s Rock En Seine in August and the I-Day festival in Bologna, Italy September 2nd.
