San Diego Charger and NFL legend Junior Seau is reportedly dead after an attempted suicide at his home in Oceanside, CA. He was 43. Police were called in to investigate a shooting and are still on the scene. He leaves behind an ex-wife and three children.
Seau was best known for his amazing plays with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots. Making a name for himself at USC, he was a first round draft pick, fifth overall, in the NFL in 1990 and played in the league for 20 years.
In 2010 Seau was involved in a car accident when his SUV went off a cliff in Carlsbad, CA following an arrest for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. Seau explained that he wasn’t trying to kill himself and that he simply fell asleep at the wheel.
