Blink-182′s Travis Barker has been doing a lot less, ahem, barking after his urgent tonsillectomy at the beginning of May.

While the drummer has a sense of humor about the affair, tweeting pictures of his viciously swollen tonsils covered in blood, the surgery has affected his touring schedule with Blink-182; some of the band’s dates have been cancelled and rescheduled.

A press release released Wednesday (May 9) from the band explained the situation, offering apologies to fans. “Blink-182′s drummer, Travis Barker, required an urgent tonsillectomy with a recovery period expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates,” Blink-182′s official site read. “The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support.
”

Dates at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, have been rescheduled for September 13 and 14, while six other dates have not been rescheduled.

» 5/18 — Uncasville, CT @ Mohegan Sun

» 5/19 — Asbury Park, NJ @ The Bamboozle

» 5/20 — Bethlehem, PA @ Sands Bethlehem Event Center

» 5/22 — Quebec City, CA @ Colisee Pepsi Arena

Their site says that their European dates are still on and refunds will be available at every show except Bamboozle. My Chemical Romance is slotted to play the Bamboozle gig in Blink-182′s absence.
