To celebrate the release of their new album Handwritten, New Jersey punk outfit The Gaslight Anthem has just signed on to play a live streaming concert webcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater as part of the award-winning Live on Letterman series, Wednesday, June 27 at 9PM ET/6PM PT.

For most, this will be their first chance to hear the new songs live. Of course, the guys will mix in some fan favorites from their three previous albums.

Handwritten will be The Gaslight Anthem’s fourth full-length album. In an interview with CBS Local, frontman Brian Fallon said the band tries something different on every record they release.

“You have to allow new influences to come in or old influences or different ones. You have to sit and listen in order for new things to come in. You have a period of writing and a period of gathering or just living,” he said. “That’s what Bob Dylan said. He said, ‘Sometimes I’m living and sometimes I’m writing.’ That’s the process.”

The band will break away from their U.S. tour to take part in the Live On Letterman webcast June 27th.

Don’t forget to come back right here to watch The Gaslight Anthem Live on Letterman, June 27 at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
