The White Stripes just unveiled recordings from their first-ever live show at Detroit’s Gold Dollar in 1997.

The songs are included on the latest package from ex-frontman Jack White’s Third Man Records’ Vault series. The package contains a 7″ single and 12″ LP, both entitled Live at the Gold Dollar, as well as a tote bag with the band’s hand-painted peppermint logo on it.

The red vinyl single was recorded at an open mic night on July 14, 1997 at the Detroit bar. It includes live renditions of “Jimmy the Explorer” and “St. James Infirmary Blues,” later released on The White Stripes’ 1999 self-titled debut, as well as a cover of The Clovers’ “Love Potion No. 9.”

The LP is pressed on white vinyl and features recordings from The White Stripes’ first full concert on August 14, 1997. The band plays “Lafayette Blues” and “Screwdriver,” which were also released on their debut album, and a cover of the Stooges’ “TV Eye.”

Third Man Records’ Vault releases are distributed to annually-paying subscribers, and are not available for purchase. The series has previously featured other Jack White ventures, like The Dead Weather and the Raconteurs, in addition to artists like Beck and Karen Elson.
