Yesterday, Dead Sara announced they’d be pulling off the 2012 Vans Warped Tour after frontwoman Siouxsie Medley fractured her ribs. Dead Sara are in the midst pushing their year-old self-titled album up the alt-rock charts.
In a statement posted to the band’s website, they addressed their departure from the Warped Tour.
“Unfortunately, rib injuries are a tricky thing to heal and she has been advised to rest and recover for the next several weeks to avoid any permanent damage and cancellation of future shows. We will make it up to all our fans and plan to return to the road late this summer/early fall. Thanks to Kevin (Lyman), all the bands on Warped, and everyone that came out to see us – it was an amazing experience and we had a blast.”
Today was our last day on @VansWarpedTour b/c Siouxsie has fractured her ribs. Thanks for your support, see you on the road late summer!—
