Instead of just asking for straight donations, the band is turning their altruistic endeavors into a contest worthy of their humanitarian-inclined superfans.
By donating $10 or more to Music For Relief via Omaze.com, a winner and friend will get to hang out for an hour with Linkin Park at their studio in Los Angeles. Not only will the winner be donating to a worthy cause, but get to see the music making process of their favorite band. Fans have between now and May 31st to enter. Airfare and hotel will be included.
Raising almost $4 million dollars since it was created in 2005, Linkin Park’s Music For Relief has helped causes for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Habitat for Humanity, the earthquake in Haiti, and more.
Linkin Park’s philanthropic efforts have been recognized by the United Nations Association of the United States of America when the band received a Global Leadership Award.
