Fans of classic Sublime can revel in the laidback Long Beach vibes of 3 Ring Circus: Live at the Palace – October 21, 1995, a live album featuring the band’s original line-up including frontman Bradley Nowell, set for release on June 18.
The album marks the band’s 25th anniversary, and will be the first live Sublime release to officially come out on CD and DVD.
Recorded just 7 months before Nowell’s untimely death at the age of 28 from a drug overdose, 3 Ring Circus: Live at the Palace – October 21, 1995 is a portrait of the band at the peak of their powers, blasting through hits like “Date Rape” and “40 Oz to Freedom.” The 78-minute-plus set also boasts the band running through cover tunes, including Grateful Dead’s “Scarlet Begonias” and their popular take on the Toyes’ 1983 reggae song, “Smoke Two Joints.” Listen to the whole album stream here.
The concert will be released in separate CD and DVD packages, as well as a deluxe bundle of both that will also come with a bevy on extras, including a poster, laminated backstage pass and a bonus concert video from February 1995 shot at the Las Palmas Theater. All formats are available for pre-order in the band’s official store.
