With six nominations each, Macklemore and Justin Timberlake are tied for the most MTV VMA nominations at this year’s awards show, taking place on August 25 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop,” is up for the coveted Video Of The Year Moonman and will face off against Timberlake’s video for “Mirrors” and Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” and Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Fans might be surprised to see that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ hit “Thrift Shop” only earned one nomination (though it is the night’s biggest honor), but the duo’s song “Can’t Hold Us” managed to rack up four nominations including Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and Best Editing. Their video for “Same Love” also earned itself a nomination, Best Video With a Social Message.

The rock category is actually somewhat respectable with Imagine Dragons, “Radioactive” facing off against Fall Out Boy‘s “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” Mumford & Sons‘ “I Will Wait,” Thirty Seconds to Mars‘ “Up in the Air” and Vampire Weekend‘s “Diane Young.”

Check out the full list of nominees for the 30th annual MTV Video Music Awards, airing live August 25 at 6 pm PST / 9 pm EST, below.
