The last time I saw Weezer live, it was at LIVE 105’s Weezer Hootenanny in 2008 for the red album with hundreds of fans bangin’ tambourines and playing kazoos! So I was stoked to see them again at America’s Cup Pavilion in San Francisco and despite the freezing weather, was not the least disappointed with their awesome setlist and stellar performance.

After an energetic set from San Jose’s The Limousines, Weezer hit the stage, opening up with “My Name Is Jonas” and delivering hit after hit to an audience that seemed to include several generations of Weezer fans. Songs like “Hash Pipe,” “Beverly Hills,” “Pork And Beans,” “Say It Ain’t So” and my personal fave “Surf Wax America”, all rocked and kept us fans slightly warmer because we couldn’t sit still.

After closing with their classic LIVE 105 hit “Buddy Holly,” Weezer wasted no time in returning to the stage and ended the show with “Undone – The Sweater Song.” And if you didn’t wear a sweater, you definitely will the next time you go see a show at America’s Cup Pavilion at night!
