Should Nirvana’s Pre-Dave Grohl Drummer be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

By Aidan Rivera

Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month but the question remains, who exactly will be inducted? Along with the late Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic appear to have a place in the Hall but what about Chad Channing? From 1988 to 1990, Chad Channing played the drums with the band but was eventually replaced by Dave Grohl. So does he still deserve his place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

According to the Rock Hall trackers at Future Rock Legends, Channing will have his place in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. The event is on April 10th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and reportedly, Channing states that he plans on attending the ceremony but doesn’t expect to perform. Channing is already mentioned in in the Rock Hall’s Nirvana Bio and although he missed the band’s rise to stardom, many would say he still deserves his place in music history.
