Queen guitarist Brian May announced in an interview with BBC Radio that the world can expect a new album, titled Queen Forever, featuring unreleased tracks sung by the late Freddie Mercury by the year’s end.
According to May, he and bandmate Roger Taylor are piecing the album together themselves from material dating back to the 1980s. “We had to start from scratch because we only had scraps,” May told BBC. “But knowing how it would have happened if we had finished it, I can sit there and make it happen with modern technology.”
In the meantime, Queen will be heading out on tour with Adam Lambert, and will hit San Jose’s SAP Center July 1.
