At least a few hundred people think so. Yesterday we caught wind of a petition meant for Assemblyman Marc Levine that aims to change the name of the Waldo Grade Tunnel to honor Robin Williams.

The Waldo Grade Tunnel is currently unofficially named for William Waldo, a Whig politician who unsuccessfully ran for governor of California in 1853.

The tunnel is famous for connecting the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County and because of its iconic rainbow paint outline.

In addition, Williams’ film Bicentennial Man features a futuristic look at the Golden Gate Bridge with the tunnel in view (albeit a far-off view), still intact.

The petition (at the time of this writing) still needs just over 200 signatures. Head here to sign!
