1.Harvard psychology professor Steven Pinker discusses writing…when and why it goes bad…and how to write so the reader understands what you’re trying to communicate. His new book is The Sense of Style: The Thinking Person’s Guide to Writing in the 21st Century.
2.Hampton Sides, an editor for Outside Magazine, talks about the journey of the USS Jeannette and its crew. His history book is In the Kingdom of Ice: the Grand and Terrible Polar Voyage of the USS Jeannette.
3. Filmmaker Genevieve Bailey explains why she chose 11-year-olds as the subject of her new documentary I Am Eleven. 20 year old Dagan, on of the kids interviewed in the film (some years ago) talks about the experience of being part of the project.
