Trendasaurus: Belichick’s Balls, Tiger’s Tooth And Seth’s ‘Sniper’ Snafu

If you loved the song “Waterfalls” and want to hear more TLC, you might want to check out their Kickstarter page and donate to them so they can make one last album. The last two members, minus “Left Eye” Lopez (may she rest in peace), are trying to raise $150,000; 100% of which they say will go to writing sessions and recording their last album. If you donate $5 or more you even have the chance to name one of the songs on their album. They’re not the first band to do this, but TL C famously misused their money years ago when they made over 100 million in sales with their first two albums before filing for bankruptcy in 1995.

Patriots Coach Bill Belichick responded to accusations that they used deflated balls to win the AFC Championship win over the Colts. He said they are willing to cooperate in any possible with the investigation. Their 45-7 win raised suspicions that the players used footballs that were slightly deflated to give them extra grip, but the coach and the players seem mystified about the accusations. Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork said on the matter, “I never heard nothing like that…I don’t touch footballs. I tackle.”

Tiger Woods showed up in Italy masked and toothless to surprise his girlfriend at her 63rd World Cup race. He came to support girlfriend and alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, only he showed up in a skeleton patterned mask and missing a tooth. The reason he was missing a tooth was because of an altercation with a camera, apparently. Members of the media stormed Woods’ podium, causing one man with a shoulder-mounted video camera to accidentally hit Tiger Woods right in the mouth and knock out one of his front teeth.

There’s a lot of smart people in the Bay Area doing amazing innovative things and oh you’re so smart but did you build a braille printer out of legos at the age of 13? Cuz this kid did. He built an affordable braille printer using a lego robotics kit, and he’s starting his own company in Silicon Valley. He said he noticed that printers for the blind are far too expensive at a going rate of about 2 grand a piece, so he invented a better, lighter and cheaper alternative device that would only cost about $350. So, 13-year-old kid, done and done.

We talked a little about Michael Moore yesterday and his controversial statement about the movie American Sniper, saying that he was taught snipers were cowards. But now, Seth Rogen is in Twitter heat because after seeing the movie he tweeted that it reminded him of the movie that’s playing in the background in the third act of Inglourious Basterds. In a nutshell, that is sort of comparing the movie to Nazi propaganda. After people got all pissy about it he responded and said, “I just said something ‘kinda reminded’ me of something else. I actually liked American Sniper. It just reminded me of the Tarantino scene.” So, calm yourselves everyone.

Valentine’s Day is a month away so of course we have to start talking about it already but at least it’s about something delicious. Oreos are going to release a red-velvet variety, starting on Valentine’s Day. It will be a limited edition, red cookie with cream cheese flavoring. Yummmm.
