Who says Will Ferrell isn’t athletic?
The comedy star might not be known for his killer pitch (see above) or his precise batting skills, but Ferrell is still going to attempt a major athletic feat: he wants to play all nine positions in the Cactus League.
The plan is to shuttle in a helicopter between ten games on Thursday until he hits his goal, setting a record in the process.
But it’s not just for fun — it’s for charity.
One of the games Ferrell will hit the next day is at Camelback Ranch, where the SF Giants are playing the Chicago White Sox (not so sure about how they’d feel about Ferrell’s Cubs jersey!).
The Giants MLB game is at 4:05 on Thursday and will be filmed by HBO. Ferrell will reportedly play catcher.
After that, the actor will visit four other ballparks for other games (and to play different positions), including one between the Oakland A’s and the Seattle Mariners.
Per the Giants, here’s his schedule:
12:05 p.m.: Seattle Mariners at Oakland Athletics (HoHoKam Stadium)
1:10 p.m.: Chicago Cubs at Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Tempe Diablo Stadium)
2:10 p.m.: Cincinnati Reds at Arizona Diamondbacks (Salt River Fields at Talking Stick)
4:05 p.m.: San Francisco Giants at Chicago White Sox (Camelback Ranch)
6:15 p.m.: Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres (Peoria Stadium)
