If you went to any Noise Pop shows this year, you might have gotten at least a little bit familiar with Do415. The event discovery service is owned and operated by Noise Pop, and often lists events, musical and otherwise, centered around San Francisco.
All that is changing now that the company is refocusing their efforts on the Bay at large, not just The City. Re-branding itself as DoTheBay, the site will now cover the whole Bay Area across nine counties, from Contra Costa to Solano, Marin, Alameda, and of course, San Francisco. They’ll also be launching an iPhone and Android app later this month.
“We’ve grown exponentially in the last three years and are eager to represent culture and events throughout the Bay Area, no longer just San Francisco,” says DotheBay’s General Manager, Katy Meacham of the change. “Along side us, we’ve also seen the Bay grow and expand its cultural offerings, and we are honored to shine a more comprehensive light on each of them, from San Francisco to San Jose to Napa.”
The site will also continue to list events and offer up cool contest prizes.
Aaaaaaaand, speaking of contests, they’ve got a real doozy to kick off their new name: they want to give someone the so-called Bay Bounty prize. The Bounty prize will, along with making the winner the envy of literally everyone, will let him or her attend SEVEN local music festivals: Outside Lands, BottleRock, Phono Del Sol, Treasure Island, Huichica, our own BFD and Northern Nights.
So, basically, you need to get your butt to their site NOW because this contest ends soon.
