Big Boi might have just played the Treasure Island Music Festival last year, but the Atlanta rapper comprising one half of Outkast will be back again this October for another turn. This time around, however, Big Boi will be playing in a much different iteration.
Only about six weeks after their official stage debut at Epic Records’ Epic Fest in Los Angeles, Big Boi’s collaboration project with alt pop duo Phantogram will take the stage at Treasure Island.
The trio, collectively called Big Grams, will release a self-titled album September 25, will replace rapper Azealia Banks at the festival, who recently cancelled a slew of festival dates (including Lollapalooza and Osheaga) to recover from a throat infection.
