Tim Donaghy, who was an NBA referee for 13 seasons, joined Live 105 morning show, Kevin Klein LIVE, to go into further detail about his claims that the NBA suspended Draymond Green “in order to prolong the NBA Finals.”
Donaghy resigned from the NBA in 2007 after it was revealed he bet on games in which he officiated. He was convicted of federal charges and served more than a year in prison.
On Wednesday, Donaghy told Kevin Klein LIVE that referees are encouraged to make certain calls at certain times to even out games, and that playoff refs make more money based on how long the series goes, so it’s in their best interest to have more games.
Klein asked Donaghy how much he was able to make as an NBA ref, and the numbers were shocking.
