KKL Speaks To Brains Behind The USA vs Japan Robot Battle

The USA and Japan have never had a reason to fight* (*we didn’t pay attention in history class). That’s all about to change with a battle of epic proportions.

MegaBots, an East Bay based robotics group, has built a giant fighting robot called Mk II. Standing 15 feet tall and weighing over 6 tons, it’s the kind of thing sci-fi fans dream of. Now, Mk II will take on Japan’s giant KURATAS robot in a brawl for bragging rights and pride in country.

MegaBots co-founder Gui Cavalcanti called Kevin Klein Live to dish details on America’s greatest fighting machine. The conversation covered how this rivalry got started, what weaponry will be installed, and why Gui believes the American robot will be triumphant.
