Steve Huffman is the co-creator and current CEO of Reddit, the seventh most popular website in the USA. Huffman is also known by his username Spez on the site and recently found himself in the center of some controversy after it was revealed that he had altered the comments of some users’ comments. What was meant to be a little bit of joking around had major reactions from the userbase, with Spez taking the time to explain and apoligize for his actions on Kevin Klein Live this morning.
Steve also talked a bit with Kevin and Ally about how Reddit found itself as the starting point of some of the Pizzagate conspiracy theory and the actions that Reddit took to combat those following the conspiracy theory in a way that led to private information being posted on their forums. But aside from all the serious stuff, Kevin and Ally also quizzed Spez on his knowledge of whether he knows which subreddits are fake or real on his own site. To be honest, some of these fake ones may have been created after this interview.
