3-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis publically announced that he was retiring from acting. That got us thinking about all the great performances he has put together over the years.


7. Gangs of New York (2002)

In Martin Scorsese’s film, Day-Lewis plays Bill ‘The Butcher’ Cutting. He is the villain to DiCaprio’s Amsterdam Vallon.

2. In the Name of the Father (1993)
