“I can remember a time when I would’ve been made fun of for doing things differently. Now I’m getting an award for it? This is too much.”
Interview: Hayley Williams on the Paramore Cruise, the Fall Out Boy Tour & Why She’ll (Probably) Never Go Solo
“My priority will always be Paramore,” she said. “I know where my heart is. And it’s this band. I can’t imagine wanting to do anything else.”
Paramore is breaking records, both figuratively and literally, in their new video for “Ain’t It Fun” off their 2013 self-titled album.
The clip combines black and white shots of Hayley Williams and the guys playing Wembley Stadium with the story of two girls who pack their bags and head to London to see Paramore in concert.
After a few tough years, Williams said that her band’s upcoming North American trek, The Self-Titled Tour, which kicks off tomorrow (October 15) in Seattle, Washington, feels like a fresh start for her band.
“It just felt like a song I was supposed to sing,” Hayley Williams said about “Stay The Night,” her new track with Zedd.
Zedd’s new track featuring Paramore’s Hayley Williams leaked just hours before its official debut.
On the track, which Zedd previewed today (September 4), Williams becomes the focus, singing “Are you gonna stay the night?” over one of his signature club beats.
Hayley Williams and Paramore are bringing their 2013 Self-Titled Tour to San Jose this fall.
Many bands start young – rock’n’roll is not a profession for the elderly. Such is true for Paramore, which was founded before frontwoman Hayley Williams was even old enough to (legally) drive a car. So when one considers that it’s now nine years later, it makes sense that the most striking thing about Paramore’s new album is that it perfectly captures the sound of a band growing up and, after some struggles, finding itself.
